STUDENT

EXPECTATIONS

Our expectations are high. The benefits are higher. All students are expected to commit to this intensive and rewarding experience, which is approximately 45 hours per week. Students must meet individual requirements to pass academic courses and trainings, as well as larger expectations of the Academy – from attendance and engagement to conduct and collegiality. Students are provided with all the resources to succeed, and have dedicated mentors to help them excel every step of the way.

A Note to Parents

KAUST is here to make sure that our nation’s brightest Saudi students remain on track and prepared to meet the next steps in their academic journey.

Like all KAUST youth programs, the Academy is a rewarding commitment between KAUST, the Students, and the Parents. We ask for your support in understanding the major commitment this summer will be for your child. It will be filled with days of intensive learning, thinking, and contributing. It will be demanding, but it will be worth it. Following success in this program, your child will be prepared to compete with top peers from around the world.

In addition to academics, this summer’s program will prioritize the health, well-being and personal growth of your children. The skills and knowledge they build in the Summer 2021 Academy will serve the nation and the world in ways that are most needed now and in the future.
