Courses

Carefully curated advanced STEM courses and trainings, ranging from general to specialized. Students will receive a certificate per individual course or training that they pass. Students who successfully pass all requirements will receive a certificate from KAUST indicating that they have graduated and become founding alumni by the academy.

• Math: Introductory and Intermediate calculus addresses foundations for applications of math in science, engineering and commerce.

• Science: Fundamental concepts in chemistry, physics, and biology, which form the basis of knowledge that all students in STEM fields must know in order to succeed.

• Programming: Introductory courses to Python, designed to familiarize students with the essential elements of programming and constructing basic Python programs. Conceptual and skills-building training will help students advance throughout the course, teaching them to manipulate data and write increasingly complex Python programs.

• Academic Writing: Introduction to the conventions of academic writing in English, designed to help students create a “toolbox” of skills to support them throughout their academic careers. 

• Humanities: Bridging literary and philosophical classics with scientific concepts such as the technology-human relationship, artificial intelligence, and ethics in science and research.
